It's only worth what you are willing to pay for it.

Do you know who rebuilt it, or the condition of the current parts? Can you piece together one for less money? What application is it going to be used for? Is it hot?

What George said, but $1200 seems like a lot for a head, are you sure its even a real type r head or not just a B16 head?

Well the guy said that one can tell its a type R by a head code??? Does anyone know whats the head code for a type R? Thanks

Dude there is #'s imprinted on the head with a circle around it!!!.... Like a gsr is p72 so p73 should be on there somewhere!
