Scaled Composites, the builders of Spaceship One, teamed with Burt Rutan and funded by Paul Allen just completed the first successful suborbital spaceflight by a civilian/non government venture! while im writing this, the ship is still gliding in for a landing, but the flight was a confirmed success.

ladies and gentlemen, things are about to change big time.


*edit* it safely landed. while i was watching it on fox news, Burt Rutan was crying when Mike Melvill was talking.

I missed it, I was at a job interview when they did it. I've been watching little snippets on TV, but nothing great.

The White Knight actually looks uglier in Video than it does in pictures. But oh well, I can call it ugly, but my pretty things aren't taking me into space.

These guys are setup to be the next world's richest "mutherphuquers". Paul Allen already is pretty rich, but soon these guys could possibly pass up Bill Gates.
