So Ive got a 12 hour drive through the mountains next week to go home for a wedding and I decided it might be a good idea to have an alignment done on the car, the dude calls me up and tells me theres a weld seperating just behind the drivers side front wheel. And to make it all that much better he also found a huge gash near the centre of the car about a foot long and a 1/4 inch wide, so now i dunno if ill even be able to drive it by then. You guys ever have this shit happen to ya?

Ha! My car doesn't have a speck of rust!

Of course, the oil bath I gave it two years ago fromt he oil filter bolt coming out of the back of the block helped seal the chassis, too. ;)

I have a nice little gash, under the passanger side front seat. About two or three inches long and an inch or two wide. I ran something over, but not sure what? I went back to check and there was nothing in the road. But I drove from California to Texas with it, no problems, except when it rains, the carpet will get all wet.

I would call that a problem, genius.

I've never heard of it the gash, do you/they know how long it's been there?

I am not too sure how long it has been there no more than two months. I am trying to get quotes to get it fixed. But I want them to jack up the price so that they can fix the gash and install a kit, and have the insurance pay, while I only pay the deductible.

be careful if you patch it . . . the floor might get loose and fall out at like 140mph when you hell at your laptop and hit the second stage of NAWZZZZZZZZ
