Watanabe Whore!!!
Rest In Peace
The wife mentioned that the JAL CEO is 180 degrees different than the American CEO's... (me and the wife went thru the Japanese bubble economy...when it popped)

JAL's CEO takes bus to work and eats at the cafeteria (even when the press aren't following him) - Gadling | travel blog | news, stories, deals, and tips. Go there.

after checking it out...it's true.

WTF:confused:,why do American CEO's rape us?

Who in the world needs to live with 100 mil a year?...it's impossible to spend anyways.

Its a difference in culture. But you can't blame the big threes' meltdown on the CEOs alone. You have the greedy faggot UAW workers, and the fact that one corporation houses different makes using the same platforms. (GM makes a Pontiac, Chevy and Oldsmobile vehicle that are the same car with subtle design differences and a different badge) Where as Honda or Toyota sell one Accord or one Camry. Seems like a waste to me.

Same thing happened in Japan as it's happening here , except they went thru it in the 90's. Everyone had money to burn, no worries in the world, and boom...err... pop...this huge bubble bursted when their loans got to the point ours are today. The late 90's was the worst, infact I left Japan right when it got really bad. They have only partially recovered, but it's a long haul. We will end up the same way.

JAPAN'S BUBBLE ECONOMY

Sound familiar?

you don't dream big enough.

Indy car track + cars on your own land? Tanks that shoot giant paintballs? Live in a Castle? Personal staff? I could blow 100 mil a year every year they gave it to me.

yeah, but you would have to find time though. you don't get that 100mil for free. you would have to work. and that takes time away from it all. plus most of it is in stock options that isn't liquid.

Oh I could easily spend a 100 million a year its just that there is no reason anyone should get paid that.....there is no job on this earth that needs pay that high

Baseball players $430 mil

firefighters $43,000

go figure:dunno:

taxes vs earned revenue.

try to pass a bill to raise taxes. even if it is to pay the teachers more, people don't like it.

earned revenue. think about the revenue that lebron james brings in for the cavs. he should get a lot of it. it would be worse if the owners kept it all.

almost half a million people lost a job this month, but yet a baseball player makes a contract to make megamoney for the next 3-4 years of his life.

Nurses, firefighters, and cops that have to help, save, protect our lives or property get paid table scraps while sports stars that play a kids game gets rich as hell....

...it just makes me sick.:(

we pay to see athletes. its not our fault they get paid. americans dump tons of money into sports. same with movies and music.

people go into those jobs for reasons other than money. whether it is community respect, love of the profession, etc. it also doesn't take as much skill to be a nurse than an athlete or great performer. they are rewarded for a talent.

I don't think a girl who goes to school to be a nurse should be making millions. there are just too many and what they do isnt' amazing. thats why surgeons get more than them.

Japanese CEOs ride public transport because they can't fondle strange pre-teen schoolgirls in private limos.

Baseball players $430 million

teachers $50,000

it pisses me off how shitty we pay our teachers

Where are you living? - I am a teacher and the top of my pay scale is 58,000 and you must work a minimum of 15 years + school to get there. Don't get me wrong I am not complaining about my pay/benifits but there is definately a disproportionate amount of money (salary) spent on other careers that are held in less regard than a teacher. Hell guys working on the big three line make more than us and that is a semi skilled labor position at best.

yep, and so do construction workers/iron workers.

being a teacher is a mentally grueling job. the physically grueling jobs pay more. jobs with less people available get paid more. thats why garbage men get paid $20/hr, because the job sucks.

and i've said it before, teachers don't do it for the money. they know how much it pays before they get into it.

You sir are an idiot. You are basically saying that because a person going into a "service based career" has an alterior motive besides the almighty dollar we have a right to pay them a less than satisfactory wage? Your right I am willing to bet that if you were to ask them why they took the career they took money would be down on the list of reasons but that does not make it right.

Are you actually saying that a fireman, teacher, police officer, nurse, doctor is on the same line as a semi skilled laborer? That is basically what I got. 95% percent of these people make less than even the most average of athletes. I am assuming that you have no clue as to what being in one of these careers entails. There is constant schooling/training, long hours, and real consequences to these jobs if you have an off day. Take teaching for example - I am forced to take a certain amount of credits (paid by me) in order to earn my next pay increase and to keep my license.

You said that it doesn't take as much talent to be a nurse as it does to be a pro athlete. I think that is garbage. I think that we place too much of an emphasis on athletes who choose to play a game for a career. Ask yourself this what would happen if we had a shortage of pro athletes - now ask yourself the same question but put in one of the careers you mentioned in your post. Now you might start to see the importance of these people and why we should maybe compensate them for the important roles they play.

How do you figure I am an idiot. It's simple supply in demand. Revenue of the NFL goes deep into the billions. with less than 1,000 people out of 300,000,000 americans able to perform at that level, they deserve high salaries. i do agree that it may be too high, but they deserve more than the owners and reps and other industry whores.

i know about fire fighters. i know about teachers. I know about other service industries. trust me i do. i'm not an uneducated turd by any means. and if you need to know the personal reasons, feel free to take this to pm.

no, i don't believe they should get less than satisfactory wage. but yes, you don't go in for the money. if you were driven by money, you would obviously be doing something else. and i know this because you are complaining about the salary. if you are a teacher, you have a masters degree in education. you are very capable and intelligent and able to work with that degree and do something that pays more.

my logic is though, you can't piss and moan about how much you make, if you choose the job. the military gets fucked in the ass with pay. service gets fucked. teachers get fucked. but my theory, like it or not, is that they can switch. if you don't like what you are doing switch. you went into being a teacher, firefighter, police officer etc knowing how much it pays.

society doesn't train for a job, then get into it with a surprise paycheck. this isn't the game of life where you draw a card and your paycheck is a surprise. you go in full well knowing the pay. if you want equal pay, go to a socialist society where everyone shares the money.

thy only make that much because you watch them, buy thier jersey's, sneakers, etc.
