I heard that JDM ecu's have a governor in them to limit speed to 115mph - if that is the case, how do i remove that and what exactly happends when the governor kicks in? Does the car shut off?
we did a swap of a JDM SiR-G (GSR) engine in a buddy's 94 CX hatch... and it does have a fuel cutoff at 115-120.... not sure of the exact speed as his speedo has some "personality quirks"... as far as i know, you could get the ECU chipped, or switch to a USDM ecu....
112 to be exact. can be disabled with a chip for the ECU or other trickery. Email me if interested in information on either, or look at the website in my profile.
