The Kicker L7 has 750 rms. That is probably in a sealed enclosure. What would the rms be in a ported enclosure? I know it will be less since there wont be as much air pressure behind it but how much will it drop it?
kicker website has a very cool way of demonstrating how to build and tune YOUr enclosure. Id get a real amp for that sub suh as JL 1000/1 (have mine for sale) or 500/1, fosgate power series, kicker, or mmats. those subs can handle a and produce alot of power! www.kicker.com
i'd through the whole 750 rms at them. If you have a correctly built box they will do great! make sure you break in the subwoofer. think of it like a motor, you dont redline it when you first built a motor I have seen the L7 12" take 1100 rms in burps for competitoions and 750 rms for daily driving. Just remeber if you build the box remeber to brace the box
