no ... im not asking for full out racing seats or anything.... all i ask is for some fucking side bolstering and some decently firm padding... a seat that gives you a feeling of confidence when going through a corner instead of a POS that makes you grip anything within reach for dear life so you dont go flying out the fuckin window or over to the passenger side of the car

maybe im just asking way too much

LOL yeah...probably are.

Hey, if youw ant good side bolstering, get some MX-3 seats. Also, Escort GT seats are good too Ask TPP. His seats are nice even though they're old as fuck...but they're also a lot heavier than MX-3 seats. :)

2.2L and only 140hp?!?! what the hell are they doing wrong?

They're tuning it for torque and drivability, not performance. Ever think that not everyone wants to drive around at 8000 RPM all day and that some people actually don't give two shits about the car as long as it gets 'em from here to there...?

Just about anything is an improvement over the Cav...
My mom had one...I had one as a rental one time...mom's was an 84...rental was a 99...nothing had changed...

looks like an RSX if you ask me

that would make it ugly lol

to bad under the hood it has a honda motor
or maybe Im wrong is chevy selling honda motors yet?

i think they are using the accord v6 in the new malibu's.

I haven't heard any Honda motor in a Chevy rumors, oh well.

140 HP in a base model isn't bad. As long as it has decent torque and drives well.

Another thing that will help them sell more cars is support. If E_SolSi wants seats, have them available. If a guy wants more horsepower, have a supercharger or turbo package available. Work with the aftermarket people to endow this car with a following.

Ford Focus is a piece of shit, but they have a ton of support now. I hate Fords, and there's at least one Focus I'd love to have. Puts out over 400 lbs of Torque, boosted. Not bad for a little yellow Hatchback.

I agree the retail sucked ass...and to think I wanted one at that time...well until I rode in the one you had.

I believe that gm does offer a supercharger for the 2.2l engine in its highperfromance cataloge.

it says the 170hp version comes with a 2.4l engine. i wonder what the 200hp version engine is? i hate to say it but i think that car is gonna give honda and toyota a real run for their money in the sport compact market...that is if they can avoid reliability problems

Actually the STi has the new Corolla look a like headlights...

....and yes it'll be in the current body style. It's the same damn car as the Celica GTS & Matrix XRS (same frame/platform) but it comes with 10 less hp. :)

The only difference is it's a four door unlike the Celica and it doesn't weigh as much as the Matrix. Perfect mid-level sport-compact pocket-rocket....I'm getting myself all hyped up about it. :worthy: :worthy:

y'know, every time I see one of the Big Three come out with a new model and they spend millions advertizing it and considerably less money engineering it, I shake my head and laugh. But then I realize that if thousands of suckers buy an overhyped compact instead of an overhyped 3-ton SUV, that's a good thing.
