low compression in cyl. 1

i recently did a compression check on my b18c5 and cyl. 1 tested 180 and 2,3,4 all tested 210psi. the reason why i tested for this to begin with was my car would smoke a bit when i would stop at a stop light and take off again. my question to uses would be is this bottom end issue or head issue? also when i dropped a teaspoon of oil in to cyl. 1 the compression rose to 205psi

the only way to know for sure is to do a leak down test. but judging by the compression jumping 25psi with oil i would lean towards the bottom end.

Sounds like piston rings. Add oil in all of them and re do the test and compare again. Or do a leak down test.

every one else is right i had the same prob with my b18c i sold, any idea if it had nitrous or turbo on it??
