low pedal pressure

I have a 95 lude and something is up with my brakes. When I push the the pedal down there is low pedal pressure and as I pump them they get better. I was told to pump them when the car was off to test the master cylinder and it seems fine. any ideas will stainless steel brake lines help?

ss lines will help, but id trying bleeding them first, sounds like air in the line to me

YEah, mine are like that too, because I need to bleed them. If you bleed them, they'll start working just fine.

if bleeding them doesnt work, check the master. could be a leaky seal in there that is letting air in. Have you done work on the brakes lately? Check your fluid level too, air cant just pop in the system, its getting in from someplace.
