Lowering Springs Vs. Dampers

what's the difference between dampers like the Tein basic kit and lowering springs?

lowering springs=ride height, damping=how fast the shocks move up or down

Some teins have both, an adjustable damping force(some use EDFC) and ride height like the Type Flex. The Basic Damper doesnt let you control the damping force but just ride height.

By the way, just to clear up what some people thing about the Tein EDFC, THEY DO NOT CONTROL RIDE HEIGHT!
