Hello everyone quick question....
I live in Ma. and our state inspections are pretty strict up here. I have a 99 civic with a 97 ls motor... with a obd2b-obd1 conversion harness with a p72 ecu. They plug the car into the obd2 port for inspection and if you cannot plug in or there is no signal you fail. Does anyone know if they (state) can see what vin the car has from the computer? I know that a lot of 2004 and newer cars do this but does the 99-2000 civics? So basically does the ECU store the vin? Anyone else ran into this situation? Thanks for the help!

Nope does not store the VIN. Particularly in honda's, the VIN burning into the ECU's started in 2005
