makes me miss my 2000 mitsu mirage. junkyard car to autocross, track and show missile. miss it even more than my veloster turbo.

lol no i dont have any of that stuff and never had an integra. i dont want to work on cars anymore, thats why i have fun new ones ;)
 
lol I think the distributor died
It has fuel and spark (has spark and hear fuel pump prime)
Was throwing code 3 and 14 (dont think related)

Think might be distributor or fuel pump weak idk.
Car started not liking to idle below 1000 rpms (would act like not charging which it might not have been)
ran car for like 3 hours , drove it around neighborhood fine.
Fire it up and its running like poo at low rpm but could rev it up and seemed fine
Now car will not crank.

Ima put it to tdc tomorrow and investigate more
 
I ordered a distributor on RockAuto for a 99 GSR $143 after shipping NOT BAD (parts stores wanted 260-340)
I double checked my timing it is dead nuts on , car is cranking and has fuel and spark but no start. Was throwing code 3 for map and code 14 for eacv (neither should cause no start) and my idle was not searching doing the up/down thing. I did notice my tach was jumping and car did not want to idle low/long and or would die if did long before went out. I THOUGHT alternator wasnt charging but that wont do it esp after I charged the battery and did same thing. Anyrate the distributor feels SUPER clicky/notchy and it is harder to turn than my buddies obd1 distributor I borrowed before realized mine was setup on obd2 and my dohc zc all are significantly smoother. Also thinking back it was fully retarded when I got the car I think the shaft bearing failed and caused to jump time/snap timing belt is how I got it and I think replacing distributor will fix it. Also the red dust inside looking online seems to be sign of shaft bearing failure Any input ?

Worst case I put a new alternator on it if that does not fix it

FWIW, that red dust has been present in every Honda distributor I’ve checked. Running or not running, DOHC or SOHC.

Does sound like an ICM, though. Especially given no tach when cranking
