So I recently traded my Z4 03 BMW for a 93 Honda Del Sol Si with a 97 Integra B18B1.

I wanted to see what mods would be recommended that I can install. Like Cold Air Intakes, Cooling System, Engine Intake Manifolds, Recommended Headers, etc. This is my first honda that i've ever owned in the 90's. So any education I can get would be helpful and parts that I could buy to make it run and sound better is appreciated. I wanted to run a turbokit at 300HP on the B18. It came with a stage 2 clutch and a B18 is from H-Motors. With allegedly 65K mileage.

It also came with a Tein Adjustible coilovers as well.

Welcome to the site.

1 - re-install the stock seatbelts. That stupid harness bar crap will kill you in a real crash.
2 - Fix the broken stuff.
-- ash tray.. what is that, scotch tape? :D
-- rear animie crap? wtf even is that...
-- roof seals look a bit leaky? there's aftermarket seals out there
-- get a shift boot that doesn't look like toddler underwear
3 - you have an intake already... i wouldn't bother with anything else. a cold air one may get you 1 more hp. better ways to spend money first.
4 - the coilovers are great. nice addon.
5 - decide your plan for the car -- street? autox? track? hard parking? And then decide the power goal and downtime availability (is it your daily driver?)
5a - ls/vtec head swap is a good win, but needs some extensive work (probably more than a day to do it, so need another car for work/etc)
5b - turbo kit is good too, but will cost a lot to get done correctly with tuning, injectors, and full supporting mods like cat-back, etc.
5c -- both of those require different parts so it doesn't make sense to buy bolt-ons just to replace them later.

If it were me, I would probably leave it alone or do the all motor high compression route like wildbill did back in the day.

I just threw these in my cart! Since I had to look up 1997 Integra Non-Vtech! Also what you see is what it came with.

vtech makes phones.

Adding misc parts and hoping it yeilds results is like throwing dollar bills at a stripper. It feels good at the time, but at the end of the day, it doesn't really obtain anything of value.

I highly recommend defining a plan before throwing money around on parts that aren't a part of the end-game build. Define your end game and work backwards. we can help.

I wanted to do a 300HP Street Build to daily drive that was my entire plan. Based on the LS B18 guide they said to replace the intake since the OEM is highly restrictive.

They said a B18B1 is a good starting platform.

Right, it is. But that article is not a 300hp build. it's a 150 build. If you're looking for double that, you need a different approach.

What would you recommend! I had a couple dude sayings that the stock B18 can handle 300HP easily with a couple bolt ons.

They probably have never built one.

Can the ls make 300 - sure.
Will it last a long time? maybe 🤷
Do you want to make 300 once and detonate it on the 2nd pull, or 500000 times reliably over the next 5 years? it's a big difference in BOM.

There are weaknesses in several parts, like rods, rod bolts, valvetrain float, and so forth.

you can slap a 200 shot of nitrous on it. It will work until it doesn't.

you can slap a bolt-on type turbo kit to get you to 225 ish for about 3 or 4 grand + supporting mods for another grand or two.

With 300 comes the need for limit slip diff or you'll just one-wheel peel the whole time. so add another grand for an lsd or trans upgrade.

you'll want to tune it on the dyno with a standalone and 550 + injectors.

Should I just do 200HP then!

i would clean it up nice and get a few hundred miles on it before changing anything :)

Yeah, anybody saying that is just talking without really having had any specific experience with these engines. 300hp out of a B-series without going to some sort of power adder (turbo, blower, nitrous, etc.) is really unrealistic. The newer K-series engines are what most Honda people build nowadays, and you'd be hard pressed to get 300whp out of one of those with just bolt-on modifications.

This is a tiny car. You don't necessarily need 300hp to have fun. But if you do want 300hp, you're going to need to look at going turbo.
