65-70 mustang, 351 cleve with a blower... fast+too much ass
67-72 camaro 383, supercharged.....fast+more ass than you can imagine
 
And those cars will get the same gas mileage as a WRX. Kinda makes you wonder why anyone would buy a WRX.
 
if you're young, insuring ONE car is going to kill you if you get anything other than the S14.

The supra and RX7 will completely dominate your budget, the firebird and camaro won't be far behind, then the mustang and finally the nissan.

Trust me - if you will be borrowing money to buy ANYTHING on that list, GET THE NISSAN. Payments + insurance = bankrupt.
 
This car will be paid for straight up, no loans. I can do this because I will be using a small portion of my inheritance to buy my next car. The reamaining money will be spent to further my education.

I am in no way a spoiled rich kid, or even rich for that matter, so dont get the wrong idea.

I know insurance is gonna kill me on really any car I get until Im at least 25. I figure with the cars I have listed, insurance will range from 100-300 per month for just liability.
 
Warrantys mean nothing - If they weren't such risky pieces of shit in the first place, they wouldn't need one. And that warranty isn't free. Everyone pays for it.

When it comes down to it, there is no way to guarantee paying $18,000 for $4000 worth of clean car than buying new.

Used cars, when done right, are where it's at. Not all used cars, mind you (There are people out there that beat on cars) but when you consider some of my cars (Treated really well, maintained superbly) you're getting a bargain.

And those are what I find, and what I exclusively spend my money on.

New cars ? I had a new car and it sucked. it was in the shop getting "warranty work" done every other weekend. Oddly enough, I just bought ANOTHER NX2000 and it's pretty good.
 
Hardly. if you took all of the broken down Altimas alongside America's highways, and lined them up bumper to bumper, you could circle the earth.
 
but how many of those had manual transmissions

and altimas dont count until they get a v-6

they are the forgotten bastard child that no one wants.
 
No Japanese auto manufacturer can build an Automatic transmission.

The Altima was done in from the beginning - a car that looked SO MUCH like the Maxima, marketted to and purchased primarily by low-income urbanites who maxed their funds just paying for it.

Most "Nice" Nissans don't strike a nerve with anyone. Unless it's a Z, Skyline, or .. dare I say NX. Sentras, Stanzas, Maximas, Pathfinders, X-terras... They are kinda heartless driving appliances.

I guess that makes me an elitist of some sort then..... to me the only good sentras are the original B13 SE-Rs, Stanzas are a joke and always have been..... they were later "replaced" by the altima which almost as badly...... Maxima first gens are 4door 280z cars.... I REALLY liked the original plan back in the early 80s, but as time went on it became less of the 4door race car and more of the 4door econshitbox nissan turned it into... then 1995 rolled around the MAXima finally got dohc heads and made 190hp, coupled to a 5speed transmission its still one of my favorite cars to just go riding in on a saturday night...... Pathfinders.... Why the fuck did nissan even think to build this thing? seriously? WTF??? I know, lets put a SERIOUSLY small motor into a "compact truck" and market it as a workhorse..... WTF?! jokes apon jokes can be had at its cost, but the truck isnt worth the effort for them........ past that you have the X-terra.... Say what you will and I will say the rest.

it was built in 2003 with a ka24de... that made 143hp......... :dry: WHAT THE HELL????? so after 12 years of producing this motor we lost 17 horses somewhere? did they get lost in shipping? WASTE OF LIFE! the sheet metal from these things should have gone to producing a decent subcompact again..... build another SE-R that weighs less than 2200lbs and makes 200hp at the fly and we will be back in business

Even since Renault took over in 98 the cars have been getting slower and slower.... just recently when the Altima SE-R came out I was rejoicing in thinking that some balls had come back to nissan... a BIG and POWERFUL truck came out, and the 260hp altima.... and then there came news of nissans next big jump? a new skyline? no.... a faster z car? no...... a minivan..... thats right... Nissan engineers are pointing all of their "thoughts" to producing the next QUEST!

FAIL!


when nissan produces a car that will keep up with a base model vette I will care

like I said 2200lbs and 200hp

or 3500lbs and 400hp

either way.... BUILD IT!
