We're all looking to burn some time every now and again.. I was yesterday, and found this little game. You build machines out of very limited supplies in order to move a ball or block to a goal area.

Fantastic Contraption: A fun online physics puzzle game

It seems very cheesy at first, and the first several levels are stupid easy, but then it gets very challenging and quite fun. Enjoy!

I uses to play that game a lot. I tried to pass the levels with the smallest contraption/least amount of parts.

Its funny to build contraptions and then go look at other people's designs afterwards.. I engineer these over complicated war machine looking things.. And some people get it done with two three twigs and a pair of wheels.

Quoted links don't work.. got to figure out how to properly link contraptions..
Example.. Level 19.

*SPOILER* if you don't want to see how its done, dont watch.

That happened to me with one of the early levels 'Around the Bend'. I spent 30 minutes and couldn't come up with anything. Then I just started over and stuck some wheels down in (seemingly) random locations without overthinking it, linked them together, and it worked!

Right now I'm working on 'Big Ball'

EDIT: Oh NOW I realize you can move the goal block around! :p

I got 82% with this vehicle. It has a lid that comes down and shuts to keep the coconuts in the vehicle.

92% thus far. All the coconuts in 23 seconds I believe. It takes a full 3 seconds for the coconuts to tumble into it at the start, but if I widen the mouth it dumps coconuts along the way. I've noticed that weight plays a huge roll.

i agree it should be coded better to not be reliant on your PCs speed :(

so, is anyone besides me still playing either of these?

Been playing fantastic contraption for years now, I probably won't stop anytime soon. Good way to make lectures fly by fast :p
