if you want to go turbo the best thing to do is swap a dohc motor with less miles..... 160k for a nissan isnt bad, but once you boost it you will start finding the weak points that SHOULD HAVE lasted a lot longer.

not worried. by that time the car will be extremely solid since i will be dorifto'ing it beside claytons Z :)

How is it going to be MORE solid if you are going to be beating on it more?

And its an 89... Pignose, right?

89, zenki: rectangular front bumper mounted signal lights.
91, Kouki: curved front bumper signal lights - is that what you call "pignose"?

-> Steve

pignose is the coupe front. the hatch front is different.

kouki is more-so the jdm style.

Show me.

89's had 2 different styles (goes by build date ie: thru 10/88 or from 11/88).

90-94 they're all the same, just with or without the lower lip

brie's front IS the one that is on that hatch. the front lip and everything.

Show me ! Give me some pics or something. I don't know enough of what I'm looking for - because most of the pics on the net could be aftermarket.

(An aftermarket or hybrid nose on a 240SX ? NOooooo!)

Yeah, that's Kouki, later redraw of the car. This is what I'm saying.

That's not an 89, and there is no difference between the noses based on coupe / hatchback models.

Now, between Silvia and 180SX noses - Yes, there is. US versions of that chassis always get the 180SX nose. And Sylvias are coupes without the pop-ups, and 180SXs are hatchbacks WITH the pop-ups.

oh fuck it.... go find the fully rounded one as compared to the one with a more squared front end and 2 little slits in the font below the hood.

The 2 slits in the bumper is called "pignose"... which also means it is a SOHC...
