I changed oil in my d16z6 and added 4 quarts of oil but the dip stick is reading very highlike 1/2 an inch over the second mark, did I add too much or is this how it should be.

You should have put 3.5 quarts in.

Fill it to the top of the valve cover.



though its cheaper to just use 3 1/2 qts.
