I am trying to find out if this is really a P28. There are no stickers on the side the top has P28 written on it but I know that doesnt mean much. Any help will be appreciated.

I can send or post better pics if needed.

Well it is either converted or a real P28, it has the proper 5151 high side switch on the board from what I can see. Looks like an 11FO board. If it is converted it will work 100% the same as a P28.

Seriously you are so smart if you can just look at an ECU and know which one it is
Props to you.

lol No not really, I have just been playing with them for a while. Its like anything else, look at enough of them and you can identify it off the top of your head.

Nope, it's a P06 ecu (civic DX)

The big MCU says "301" on it.

That would be a 94-95 P06 either Auto or Manual.

However, as mentioned earlier, it has been converted to a P28 with the proper parts.

D'oh, good call!!

Thanks for the info guys. Since it looks like it hs been converted properly will it be ok to use with uberdata on my d16y8 m/t? Is there anything that I need to make sure that it has before using it like vtec, how can I check and see if anything is missing?

Many people have already answered your questions many times. You are all set to add uberdata and start tuning.

Absolutely, you'll find out if it doesn't work the first time you take it out.

not to mention 'real' p28's have two high side power switches located at ic13 and ic14. most converted ecu's just have one (like this one) at ic14 and a jumper at j10 to bypass the second switch since they run in series. also, it was/is a real manual ecu, not a converted auto.

allmotor, holy shit, you got good eyes, i was trying to read the mcu but couldn't read it until i saw what you posted, guess it's time for glasses :(
