They've been setting it up with after-the-credits scenes since the first Iron Man movie actually...
I never knew that were setting it up since then: I guess I'll be watching movies all weekend.
Iron Man 1 introduces Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) (Leader of SHIELD) after the credits and shows Captain America's Sheild in a background shot.
Iron Man 2 features Nick Fury, and has a scene with Captain's shield (Tony Stark uses it as a wedge to make his particle accelerator level.
)The end credits of Iron Man 2 leads into Thor, showing Mjolnir, Thor's hammer.
The end credits of Thor has Nick Fury introducing a Cosmic Cube, a source of unlimited power and can grant the bearer anything he wishes.
And I haven't seen Captain America yet, but the preview images show Red Skull (Hugo Weaving) holding a cosmic cube.

Same here! Unless they have like outtakes or something during the credits.
You're missing like 2-5 minutes of the end of the movie... It's not usually just a little bit.
