I'm thinking about T4 60-1, at least that seems to be ideal from what I've read for a driver, track B16A2. Please support your choice.

a b16 will never spool a t4 60-1, and it won't be fun on an sc61. just some FYI, im going to run the sc61 with the to4s wheel.... on my 2L motor.
on a 1.6, you are going to dog.
there's basically 2 types of turbos out there...
The E family has 6 compressor blades and 12 total including the sub-blades.
The B family that has 7 blades and 14 total including sub-blades.
that's the main difference between to4e and to4b.
im not sure off hand what the to4s is complied of.. i gotta figure that out...
there's just 1000's of different wheels, trims, housings, inducers, exducers, and so on.... its really hard to "pick my turbo" without having a realistic TOTAL power goal.... one you can afford.

I bought a Precision Turbo (http://www.precisionte.com) SC34 turbo. It's a 57 trim, 60 AR compressor with a 63 stage 3 turbine side. Should make some nice power on my stock displacement b16a.
The 50 trim is also a great turbo that can make 400 at the wheels.

both of those are standard t3/t04e with stage 3 wheels

T350 wheel .76 trim(equals a stage 5 wheel)
T04 wheel .69 trim (larger than a stage 5, smaller than an O-trim)
T04 wheel .76 trim(equals a P-trim)
All that said... the SC32 has some weird compressor map. wierd surge. the 34 is a better choice.

the idea is basically a setup which could run high 12's at the track and still be able to be a daily driver. The kit is going to be built from the ground up, so I'm trying to read and ask as much as I can. I'm just looking for the largest turbo I can stuff under the hood right now, and trying to gauge what besides the name is the diff between turbonetics and garret.

If you wanna run 12's, the 57 trim will pull your car to that number at less than 10 PSI. A VERY safe level on a moderately built up rods and pistons only engine.
Funny thing is, that all the trims are just different wheels inside the same housings. The SC32 up to the SC61 all use the same housing, and have the same external dimensions.

a/r) and is availble in a 4"-2 1/2" in/oulets as well as the standard 3"-2" i belive it is...

That was the ONLY difference between those three turbo's that were all on the counter at the shop at the same time.

I thought the trim just had to do with the physical angle of the impeller blades. A/R has to do with the compressor housing size... Like when you adjsut the trim on an outboard motor of a boat, you are angling it up or down depending ont he speed you plan on running, or if you are in shallow water.

i know a little about turbos, but i thought Garrett provides a good shit load of turbos for different companies? Like the use Garrett turbos and "modify" them. Anyway, i hear the GT Ball-Bearings are the best. Longer turbo life, faster spool, and better efficiency.. still learning so please correct if im wrong.

just wonderin im sure it was probably a joke but why is the greddy kit even listed on the poll? tod5 18g greddy turbo is no where near a T04 60-1
