well fuck, ... got a letter in the mail today saying our mortgage payment is going from $1113 to $1450.. their charging us nearly double the taxes of what we were paying.. gonna be tough on us... what a way to take the holiday spirit out of me... fuck those sorry ass fucks!..

ok, i'm done because there isnt much i can do..

that sucks though, but its not as much as my parents.
i think theres is like 2000 a month.
 
they're basing the taxes on the assessed amount.. and they think this house is worth 315k .. 2 years ago it was.. its worth about 180k now.. this is crap...i'll be making some phone calls first thing Monday morning to get this crap straightened out.. hopefully anyways... gonna have to try and not yell, because i'm pretty pissed off about it at the moment and i'll probably still be pissed off until this gets fixed
 
so get a home apprasial.. throw some trash in the front yard knock a whole in the wall, take a few doors off, flip a few breakers.. make it worth 120k lol
 
you just purchased that house. so everything on record at the courthouse should be up to date. so the appraisal value should be based off the sale price at this point. Hell if anything the market has tanked since then.
 
call the assessor's office in the morning and have your house re-assessed.

Our mill rate actually dropped this year.
i'm saveing nearly 80/month over last year

yea.. calling the mortgage company first to see if its something with them.. then i'll get a hold of the assessor

It's how business is run now adays. Charge you extra, if you don't say anything, they make more money. If you do, "We can change it for next month, but you have to pay the full amount this month." Verizon tries to do it to my cell at least once a year. If their service wasn't so much better than any other in my area I would have switched a long time ago.

I wasn't serious about the conspiracy thing. I have experienced this phenomenon. It happened to me when I had Nextel. My bill had been like $150 three months in a row until I figured it out. Then they talked me into a "better plan" securing my business for at least another two years...
 
think our mortgage is going up ~$30/mo i cant complain too much about that
