I was just telling my wife. It apparently became too dificult to breech the "reasonable doubt" threshold and convict Kobe criminally.

Now the plaintiff, who is on record as saying she isn't in this for money, has only the civil suit going. It has a much lower standard and the only relief granted is monetary.

Well, good luck finding a juror pool that hasn't been inundated with pre-trial publicity.
