rev problems, what could it be?

i just recently swapped a 99 SI motor into my 96 LSI coupe (euro spec dx, with ex luxuries). the swap was succesful, but i am having problems.

when i try to keep the car under 1-3k rpms, the rpms sputter (go up and down, over and over) it almost sounds like i'm doing it on purpose. i have to give it alot of gas just to get it going. and it happens in every gear when i go below 1-3k rpms?

i was told maybe my TPS was bad, but i am not sure? just hope it's not expensive!

what ecu are you running?
what wire harness?

and what does the euro spec dx consist of?
