rpm sticks after giving it

after i drive it hard. my rpms will stick. ill put it in neutral and itll stay at like 4500 rpms. i think this may have something to do with my tps and or throttle cable. any opinions?

my guess would be throttle cable sticking

the only thing that makes me wonder is that i was trying to pull out on the gas pedal. and didnt really do much

go to the throttle plate and give give crack open the throttle a decent amount and see if it snaps back into place. If not, the return spring or the cable is at fault.

throttle cable might be alittle too tight.
