CLIFF NOTES...

1) piece of shit 1997 saturn
2) with bonus oil consumption problem, only 65K miles too...
3) gf does NOT listen about oil being the life blood of the car, and keeping it full
4) SEIZED MOTOR
5) had to get up before the sun in 10 below weather to push a piece of shit out of the road...
6) 3 quarts ATF, 2 quarts oil, 1/2" ratchet, long pipe, and lots of patience = resurrected saturn...

so... a story for your reading enjoyment... 1997 SATURN JUNK

friday morning, get a call at 6:15 from the gf... my car is dead...
so we try and jump it and all this shit, finally end up flat towing it to our garage.
so after lots of looking at the car someone suggests checking the oil...
well, guess what? after all the tiems i told her to check the oil and keep it full, the bitch was BONE FUCKING DRY...
not a drop on the dip stick...
the f'in motor was seized TIGHT...

so we dumped a couple quarts of oil in it, took out the spark plugs and sprayed wd 40 down into the cylinders...
took off the passanger side tire and put a 1/2 ratchet on the crank...
literally could only move it 1 degree with a huge pipe...
so more wd 40 and more turning and i can get it to rotate 15 degrees back and forth... not looking very good...

so one of my friends suggests ATF, saying its an old race car trick...
so we filled the cylinders with ATF and let the thing sit overnight...
so the next day we go to turn it over with the starter and it actually turned over... blew ATF all over the fucking place but still turned over...

threw some plugs in it and it started... smoked so bad i couldn;t see my own hand right in front of my face, but it runs... no more smoking, no knocks, no pings... idle is as smooth as before it got seized...

you can use marvel mystery oil too... Friend had a bronco with a seized motor... Had been sitting since it had seized with no plugs in it, so rust got into the cylinders... Poured Marvel mystery oil into the cylinders, let it sit for 2 days, grabbed a 6 foot prybar on a 3/4" socket, cranked and cranked, and it broke loose... put a socket on it, worked it around a few revolutions to work it onto the cylinders, then cranked right over... ran for another 20k miles.

EDIT: and I also heard a rumor that Pepsi works...
