Short throw cause tranny problems?

Ok, I've never seen a reason for this to happen, but I've now heard it from more than a few sources. I heard that installing a short throw shifter will cause your synchro's to wear out faster, something about the increased leverage caused from changing the pivot point... let me know.
 
No, only because people are now moving the shifter in the transmission faster than they can move their feet on the clutch pedal. You have to speed everything up to shift smoothly- not just the shift lever.
 
it doesn't matter what angle your sifter is at-- fact is, from the bitch pin and forward into the tranny is FIXED. you don't change the angle of that at all. you're just changing the angle at which you you move those pieces.
