SI TRANNY?

How can I tell if I have a SI tranny for my crx without putting it in?

you have a tranny, that you want to use I assume, but not sure what type ? I believe there is a number of some sort stamped on the case. I'm not sure where but there should be one.
d you know what car this tranny you have came out of ?? that might give you a clue

there is no way, unless you open the transmission and count the number of splines on the ring gear.

Dennis is right, the SI's have a stamping on the case that the dx does not because the bearings are different. PM mistabone on Honda-tech and ask him help, or search their archives for it. I know this is true because I saw the difference on my dx and si tranny.
