YEEEEAAHHHHH
I don't follow music as hardcore as some people on here do - but when an album sticks out among the mediocre crap in the mainstream as much as this one, I felt it deserved some attention. Saw it on iTunes, gave it a quick preview and then bought it on Amazon music.
Basically, the album is titled Slash - featuring Slash. But that not really the point of the album. Each song is a great collaboration with the most varied list I've seen on a rock album.
Some artists include Chris Cornell, Kid Rock, Ozzy, Ian Astbury from the Cult, Lenny from Motorhead, Andrew Stockdale from Wolfmother. Iggy Pop and Myles Kennedy. I originally didn't recognize the name, but I guess he headed up Alterbridge and was a guitarist for one of Slashes side projects. He definately has a different sound on this album as I did not like Alterbridge.
One of the shockers on this CD was Adam Levine. I always thought he had a good voice (no homo) - as he is the lead singer in Maroon 5. He does a darker semi-acoustic song halfway through the album and it is very good.
I have really picky taste in music, but this has been the first album I've actually listened too in a while and enjoyed the whole list of tracks. Gets a solid 9/10 from me.
