the TCO on that pig wouldn't warrant it. 12-14mpg for the fail. plus i fucking HATE HATE HATE driving that thing. it's not remotely fun. the seats are unsupportive. I'm miserable in it. I drive it to haul stuff and in the snow, and that's about it these days. I haven't driven it at all this summer. it has an exhaust leak.
bill is taking it this weekend for a tune up, and exhaust fix.
i bought a set of snows for genny a few months ago. i'll be driving her as much as possible this winter (ie, when its not supposed to snow out) and the truck only when its still snowy or potential for snow. With the snows, i should be good to get home in most conditions and maintain a decent mid 20's mpg and actually enjoy driving to work, and listening to a radio that works above 18 db of volume.
honestly, i've considered selling the truck. it's just not worth shit to anyone. 2k? maybe? it's not worth selling at that price.
i got some lm60s on some tire-rack brand 18s. should last me a year or two... half tread life ish left on them. They came off another track-pack genny from a guy i met at a meet last year who sold his car so they will clear the brembos and has the sensors in them for the traction control, and have the hubcentric rings in place for the genny as well. so i should be golden. plus, it gives me options for a track set of tires for summer if i so desire on some 18s... or some drifting wheels :X
well see...
i need to do a clutch eventually too. slipping pretty bad now in the taller gears when i romp it.
