does anyone have a link to a descnet list of classifications ??

for CRX's, if they are even slightly modded, your going to be in CSP which means a super high class. CRX's own in stock class.

by the looks of it buy the rules listed from that link I'll be in HM (H modified)
or possibly HSP (H Street Prepaired)

so what happens when you've swapped motors?

It depends on what car you have and what motor you put in there. If you have a 98+civic coupe, then you can put a USDM b16a2 in there and run in stock class (what ever the stock SI is in) or STS. If you throw an engine that was never offered in that line (like a gsr in a sol) then you are in Street Mod or street Mod 2 (del sols and CRX's with swaps go to street mod2) If you have any internal work or if you have a turbo, you are automaticly bumped up to SM.

BTW, 2 seaters like the sol and the CRX can not be in STS, STX, or Sm. For the sol, only SM2 and DSP.

so what class would my GSR powered CRX be put in?(its all motor) and when they talk about modified are they only referring to engine modifications? or do suspension modifications determine your class too?

any CRX with a b series is in street Mod2

Yes suspension heavly effects your class. A dead stock hf CRX with springs would be bumped up to CSP vs h-stock. To give you a little perspective, CSP is the same class as the ITR (remeber with a decent amount of mods, most ITRs go into STX) miatas (the ulitmate autoX car next to the RX7), and the e30 M3's.

The most comeditive a honda can be is in stock form with koni shocks (shocks are legal in stock class not springs), stock diameter wheel by 7 inches (it may be 8 as the limit) with r compound tires street slicks (DOT rated) If i were to build an autoX car, it would be a first gen CRX with the above mods.

Car Specs
91 CRX DX
Stock 1.5ltr motor
Exhaust
CAI (AEM style)
KYB AGX w/ Neuspped Sprt Springs
15 x 6.5" Rota's with Kumho 712's

other than that a stock CRX.

so help me classify my car for solo II , I'm just trying to see what other types of vehicles are in my class for next year. thanks

ha that sucks for you, CSP. Have fun.
The wheels (bigger then stock) bump u,
CAI (counts as a motor mod) bumps you
springs bump you.

Since you have a 2seater plus a CRX, any mods and there goes your chance to be compeditive

Exhaust is legal in all classes (just not the header)

EDIT this deserves more respect then anything goes, someone move to the racing forum :moved:

so i would be in mod2? what kinda cars does that make me competing with? look in my sig for all my performance mods, am i still in mod2?

I was thinking the same earlier, but then I would have missed his post. This question would have been okay in the NE regional forum too, as we all go to the same events. :shrug2:

H-stock exists :) I ran the 240 in the last weekend.

H-stock exists (most stock civics are in this class except for VTEC sols, EK SI's, integra's (not sure if the LS is G stock or H stock) but there is no H mod or HSP.

Your car would be in STEET mod 2. In street mod 2, your going up against turbo miatas, sol's with swaps, Moded Vettes, Porsches. Unless your mario andretti, you dont have much chance. Just go and have fun. I doesn't really matter if you win or lose, its all about haveing fun.

that's all I want to do is have fun, and my only competitor is myself.

was just trying to figure out what class I'd end up in.

anyone know what class clayton is in with his rex ??
