tan one= Mexican made guitar bought in the 80's, going to get a custom made guitar this year hopefully... hehehe

werd, fender makes some nice guitars. I play on an american fender strat, its an awsome guitar.

All completed with a Pearl Set of bells, and a Pearl Throne.
Got the set in 6th grade from my uncle for 600 bucks almost new.

Thank you. I just got the drums about two months ago and they continue to amaze me at every turn. If you're looking for a new kit, the shellpack sells for $650 at the music store I used to work at, GuitarCenter should be able to match that price. I always like that Chad Smith snares, they have a great crack to them. How long have you been playing?

Talk about a jam band.
I've switched my sticks around a lot over the past few years, I played ProMark 5BNs for about 12 years. I just had to switch back to 5ANs for this band because I've actually been playing with 7ANs for the last year. If I can ever manage to get an endorsement from VicFirth I'll probably switch back to 7ANs, but I just go through them like toothpicks in this band. I have friend who plays ridiculously loud with 8Ds, which are just a little bigger than 7As. He said he used to go through about 10 pairs a night when his band was touring. I'm going through a pair every two or three practices right now.
Are you playing with anybody right now? You should come down to J.J. Boomer's, Suzie-Q's, whatever the hell the name is now, on Sunday nights for the jam session. There's usually some really good musicians there, it starts around 5-6pm. I'm there pretty much every week.

I've been playing for about 6 years. I haven't taken it really seriously. I probably haven't gotten any better since 8th grade. I'm in 12th now, but still an extremely big novice. Hell I don't even know the difference in stick sizes. Reminding me to go buy some.
My drums are in pretty awesome shape, no scratches, nothing besides being a little dusty.
I had a band together for about 6 months last yera, but it fell apart so I just slap in a cd, put on the head phones and drum away. I love doing it, but I can't stand some of the retards that want me to play for their bands.
I really want to find some kids to play with, but in the past, the kids were cool at first, but became real assholes when I wasn't into their real heavy music.
Lol, the only reason i keep sticks is so i can play drummania when i go to the sunsplash in roseville. I loved playing when i did, but space, time, and monetary constraints really kind of limit my drum playing for the time being.
Sunday nights are usually pretty boring around these parts, so perhaps one of these times Ill see if i can drag my girlfriend out and see whats what.
The Vaters DO seem to break quicker, but while they last they have a crisper sound ('course that wouldn't apply to mister nylon tip over here)....The Vic's are made of a softer wood, so they have somewhat of a warmer less-crisp sound, but last a lot longer than the Vaters.
The tips on the Vic's tend to chip, too, and I've never had that problem with Vater's...It all evens out IMO...Generally, I just go with whatever the music store here has more of in stock...because I HATE playing with 2 different sets of sticks in a show....
I also mark my sticks 'R' and 'L', because for some weird reason I have to always have the same stick in the same hand....

I don't know if anyone will care here, but my sorta step-uncle I got my set from plays for Drown Mary. They opened for slayer, I believe theyt got signed last summer, and yeah played on the jagermeister fest. I'm not too into that style of music, but man, my step-uncle tears it up on the drums. I can't believe some of how he plays so fast on some stuff.
