the best they could come up with was "I'm concerned about the people that are dying right now"

The truth is the people who are dying right now, the majority of them, are terrorists and insurgents, before we got to Iraq the majority of people who were killed were christians, and anti Saddam people. Innocent women were raped, innocent children were killed.

here's a fun fact, WWII ended 60 years ago, we're still in Germany. My point is if you stay in it for the long haul you can win

Now everyone will say "Oh wait if we would have never gone in in the first place they would have been fine." But look at Sadams past and terrorists in general. Iraq, Iran, and Afganastan are all places that have harbored terrorists. How was Iraq better off with a crazy fuck that killed them on a whim? At least we are introducing a new way of thinking. Well the Shi'a were grouped into my "Anti-Saddamist" statement, they are the majority of the population and were second class citizens for thirty years (the third class belonging to the Kurds).

That brings up another good point, generally when someone as evil as Saddam is finally overthrown the repressed people under that regime would engage in near genocide against the supporting people of the former dictator (the Sunni). While there has been violence in Iraq we have so far avoided all out civil war or Genocide and that must be seen as a good thing if you're being objective. Double so when you consider how much of a revenge minded people Muslims are

I'm quite aware of that, but our main force should have been focused solely on that area until it was completely cleaned out instead of trying to fight two battles at once.
