Linspire is a good place to start. Fedora is another good one.

I'm a Slack junkie. It requires more 'experience' to use, but the tradeoff in power and flexability are well worth it.

im running linspire

got fed up with windows and wanted to go to linux, dont know much about linux or the unix platform, so i figured this would be a good place to start
its a VERY easy transition from winXP to linspire

i might trade up to a more powerful version of linux in the future, but for now im quite happy with linspire
