Pretty young. Probably a pretty avid smoker from a young age? In any case, it wasn't just H1N1 that she died of. It was also pneumonia. Chronic smoking probably worsened the pneumonia, and H1N1 just hit her at the wrong time. I bet if she was healthy then got H1N1 she would have had a much better chance of survival. Either way I'm sorry for your (Pl.) loss. The elderly, the young and the chronically ill are at most risk. No different from any other flu. Honestly I don't think the strand of flu virus made a difference in her case.
