Tach is jumping

My tach jumps when im accelerating, but it doesn't if the pedal isn't pressed at all and when it is at WOT. Has anyone run into this problem before? It kinda annoying.

Either you've got a loose ground, or your igniter is about to go out.


Mine did this earlier this week, and last night on the way home my igniter took a shit. Changing an ignitor on the side of the road at 9PM sucks balls.


Go ahead and plan on it being your ignitor, and carry a spare in your glovebox.

I had the same problem it was my dizzy cap BUT when I would be in wide open throttle it would bounce as well so I bet Will is right.

how much is a new ignitor? Is it hard to change.
