To part the del Sol or not to part

Well it looks like it may come the time to part my car. Damages to my car are around 1500-2000. If my little accident would not have happened, I would have sold my car for 6 and settled for 5. Now with the accident, I will be lucky to sell it with 3 the way it sits. Even if I spend the money to fix it, then it is worthless. I am still going to sell it for 5 and net 3 with it. So I was doing the math and here how it sits...

I sold one set of wheels (my c8's with almost new azenies) for 400 + 15in miata wheels
Blizzak winter tires on OEM wheels, 450
Miata wheels (once tires removed) 200
Circuit 8's 2 with 40% tread azenies, other removed, 275ish
del Sol VTEC Shift linkage 100
Del Sol Seats 200
VAFC 150-175
Teins and rear sway 650ish
Gsr swap (ecu, mounts, tranny engine, full harness) 2000
Top 100 or so on ebay
Vtec Cluster 100 or so on ebay
Oem cluster 75ish on ebay
Headlights and tail lights 100ish
Rear brake conversion 100
Front and rear strut bar 100
Air bag Sets 200+ on ebay

Right there alone is 5200

Also other parts that might hold some value are the trunk, interior peices, and doors. In addition to these parts, I also have a few other kinda big parts from the integra that I parted, including the seats. If I can get about 200 from the set, I would be happy. Right now I am really thinking about doing this.
 
GSR swap...I'm interested...USDM, JDM...miles? We talking comeplete swap minus axles, shift linkage?
 
USDM engine. Taken out of my freinds car who babied it until he sold it to me with aproximently 130k on it (he wasn't sure of millage since he had 3 diffrent gauge clusters since he had the car) I have put 10k on it since my swap. When I did the swap, I did the clutch and put a 12lb flywheel in it. It would come with axles, but shift linkage would be extra. Timing belt was done at about 90k miles (I think I have the documentation on that)

High millage, I know, but it runs great and is 1000 less then a normal GSR

Nothing is set in stone. I am going to have to talk it over with my dad.

Probally nothing will happen for 6 more weeks since I am 600 miles from home. The car still drives fine, so it probally will just happen after school gets out.
 
sucks to see it potentially go, but parting it out would be a huge pain i would imagine... you probaly wouldn't recoup your money in a timely fashion. i considered doing that to mine, but so much effort and time to take all the shit off, then get lowballed by cheap people...

how long did it take to get rid of the teg stuff?
 
for the teg stuff, i pretty much took all the stuff that people wanted the first few days I had it. Out of my list there, I can get all of those parts out in probally 2 days. Only really hard part is the trailing arms. Those are like the LCA's but 4x the bolts.

If I went Ebay route, I could probally get rid of everything pretty quick. Only thing that I really hate is dealing with shipping.

but if you do it, you gotta do it soon for me. i'm looking to pick up some stuff within the next 2 weeks.

i'm also interested in the rear disc conversion to go with the suspension stuff.
 
on second though, if you did the full gsr brake upgrade, i want the entire setup from you for that.

so yeah, sell me your suspension, brakes, etc etc etc. i got cash :)
 
whats the specs on those miata wheels? 14's right? offset? will they fit a crx? i head something about getting them to fit you had to bore out the center hole?

They are 15inches. Really I have never seen them on miatas. I guess they only came like one year. I believe they are 6.5 inch wide. I can have my little brother take some pictures of them.

yea pics would be great. i MAY be interested. my crx rims wont clear the itr calipers on my brake setup, the oofset is too big. could you find out the offset? thanks y0.
 
So you can buy more del sol parts? Don't you have enough shit to build 3 Del Sols from the ground up? I missed the shit on the whole B16 thing, so all I see is that it's in pieces.
 
the parts i want are for the hatch... suspension and brake stuff.

the hatch b16 is bolted in, and wired up.

left on it = axels, rear mount, fuel system overhaul (got a leak), and put the interior back together.
then i gotta find an intake and i think im steal E's stock exhaust. and then its done.
 
b, either way I decide, I can't do any work on it until after school gets out, april 30th. Up here, if I did decide to do it, I have no garage plus no ride. If I go home to do it, I have to drive 600 miles on saturday, get there saturday night, work on it for like 2 hours sleep, then drive 600 miles back. Chances are now that I will be but I can't do it until the end of april

welp, i'll be looking around for other suspension i guess... i need something before 4/3. but im still interested in the brakes.
 
IS the GSR Interior Leather? if so can i get some pics
