jpg is a lossy format. real pics are taken as eps or other similar loss-less format.

Well I nabbed those from a video. It wasn't the jpeg compression that did that. It was the combing effect of interlacing.

Wife and I watched it live, felt like a couple in the 60's watching the moon landing.

The balloon was increasing and decreasing in altitude at the end, literally bobbing up and down on the top of the atmosphere.
