Tranny Oil Change

I was finding out some things bout a D16 del Sol tranny. First of all i wanna change the oil out for a synthetic but all these shops say that the weight is too heavy on the synthetic kind and that they need to put 5-30 or 10-30 motor oil, i think that's bullshit. So my and my bro were thinkin bout just buying a pump and some quarts of synthetic ams oil. But I need to clear up if i can or cannot put synthetic tranny oil in my car, oh yea it's a manual

You can, but it is a bad idea. I ran synthetic engine oil in one tranny and it did bad things to it. Honda MTF is the best stuff you can use in that tranny.
