I have a problem, when I go to start my car up (the engine is cold and well it is fucking freezing outside) It turns over and doesn’t crank.
Its acting like it isn’t getting any fuel but I hear my fuel pump turn on.
I turn it over a second time and it starts to crank but doesn’t, A third time and it cranks for a minute and then dies. A Fourth time and it catches but I try to hit the gas just as hair and it dies (I think its not getting any gas because it is so cold?). Fifth time it catches and every time I hit the gas it tries to die but I let it idle/ tapping the gas playing with it and then it lets the rpms go up (since it is also warming up), after it warms up it is completely fine and has no problem idling or anything.
The only thing that has changed is that I have done a wire tuck, First with the driver side. Drove around and chilled with friends.
Then I started tucking the passenger side and I took my time (about 3 days, I was doing other minor things along the way) and it was freezing as shit on the 3rd day. But it started with a couple of tries (3rd time) and my brother just said the engine was cold.
I did not connect any of the Air conditioning wire harness yet because I don’t have any air conditoning parts such as the compressior and so fourth. I haven’t hooked up the heater core or the blower. The engine harness goes through the firewall so none of it was cut, The fuse box and ECU are side by side on the floorboard for the moment.
Is it just that the engine is cold? I only have one cel code and that is (6 quick flashing beeps) The Engine Coolant Temp sensor. I knew it was fucked up because the wire is fucked up and it was brittle and broke (I fixed it) and it always works at times (like I previously stated in my CRX thread)… But it never threw a cel code before…
Even when I clear it and start the car again while the gauge is working the code is still shown.
My grounds look clear, Could the problem be with the black thing that sits on the firewall and plugs into the intake manifold?
