VTEC issues

I've got an 01 accord sedan with an F23A1 motor with VTEC, for some reason I'm unable to get the VTEC to pop. any suggestions?

single cam VTEC doesnt "pop"

if its not engaging at all check your oil

You will not feel single cam vtec kick. It is more of a noise and a small powerband. But, your vtec solenoid could be bad.
