I had some good pics of some oversize stuff I have shipped out recently, so I thought I would share... The first one is a 109,000 WGC LPG underground storage tank. 170,000 pounds, 13' tall, 170' long.</p>The rest of the pics are of HALF of a drum debarker (this had to be shipped at 2 separate times). Each of the 2 sections were 45 feet long and 14 feet in diameter. Each of the two pieces weighed 171,000 pounds, and the trailer alone weighed 220,000 pounds before the load went on. I thought some of you might find this interesting. :)

It's always interesting seeing those things rolling down the road with the State Trooper escort. I love it when they stop traffic so that the truck and trailer are the only things on a bridge on the Interstate.

Yeah when they leave here and get out of sight we go inside and pull up the traffic cams in town so we can watch them hold up traffic lol. There is a really good chance that a few of you guys have probably seen something that I have shipped roll through where you live lol. Plus the fact that I ship 6-8 standard size 18 wheeler propane trailers a day as well..

Ship anything lately that came through I69 up toward Fort Wayne?

We ship a lot of stuff through Indiana. We actually have a second company in Vincennes so a lot of our stuff leaves from there too. I shipped a couple to Midland, MI not too long ago so they probably came through near where you are...

damn!!

thats pretty crazy

stuff like that could never make it through CT.. way too many hills and corners

Plus too many asshat drivers here who would see a slight gap to try to get around the truck causing an accident and a 10 mile back up. Some 54' trucks have a little trouble around here.

I will have to dig around and see if we have shipped anything oversized to CT... I'm not sure. We have shipped just about everywhere- farthest away I would say is NM, CA, Alaska, Iraq...

I'm impressed it can travel without being supported in the center. Is is a steel tank or fiberglass?

It's steel. It will hold propane once it gets to it's destination. The tank in the picture will actually be used in underground storage.
