The 5spd tranny from a 96 civic ex is in good condition with no grinds, and it has about 80,000 miles on it.

couldn't vote...but i'd pay around 250 for a good no grind condition. that's how much they run for. if you're paying more you might as well buy a broke tranny and rebuild it.

I just bought one in mint condition (less than 50k miles) not too long ago for $220. I would have looked for one cheaper, but it was local and I needed it fast. I did find one with less than 100k miles for about $175, but decided to spend a little extra for the newer one. I would say around $200 give or take a few bucks would be a good price. Your getting ripped off if you pay more than $250.

I'll be in the market for another one soon, 3rd grinds pretty bad now..

I wouldn't take anything with more than 70k for more than $200+ship.

Also, if you're thinking about selling the tranny, put what you think it's worth, and give the prospects a chance at a 'Best-Offer'.
