just picked up a 1999 sir w/270,000km mileage on it.....runs great, passed emissions. But burns oil and i can tell that it doesn't run nothing like it used to.

any ideas if i should rebuild the head or just swap the motor??!??!!

i'm not looking for anything crazy i just want a nice running motor with pep.


money is also a factor, any ideas???

could just be valve seals making it burn oil?
could be bad rings

the lack of engine performance could just be from fouled out plugs from running 2 stroke
