Speaking of the HF tranny. Is the first gear usually very short? Fast acceleration compared to the other gears, and the RPMs drop lower from 1 to 2 than they do when I shift from 2 to 3 or so on. I was wondering if it was designed that way or if someone has messed with mine before I bought it.

th 1.6, as long as its obd0 is a direct drop in. i did the si swap and had no wiring to change at all. all the plugs were the same and everything.
as for the tranny, the 1st gear is the same ratio i believe in all the L3 trannys, its just the final drive thats different
