well if some of you read this thread about me selling my Escort GT, here is why. last night i was driving home from work and as many of you all know, i dont have a license. anyways, i was cruising along, DOING THE SPEED LIMIT and notice cop car like headlights in my rear view. well i get into the right lane to turn into a Shell gas station and he flips on the lights. i was like "oh shit im going to jail" so i turn on the hazard lights. cop asks me for the usual shit and says he pulled me over for my rear license plate being held on by one bolt, so i told him i didnt have a license on me. he gets my name and goes back to the car and does his thing, mean while im calling everyone i know to tell them i got pulled over and tocome get the car. well he comes back and asks for social security number and then he goes back to his car and comes back for what seemed like an eternity...again i call people and finally get in touch with James (revolution8k) and get him to come up to where i was at. cop comes back and says that my license is suspended in Virginia (i live in Indiana now) and asks me if i knew that...i said yeah and he gets all mad. well he calmed down a bit and said he was gonna give me a ticket for having no license (he coulda got me on suspended license, taken me to jail and have the car impounded) and a ticket for the plate and told me i had to be at court today (wednesday 12-10-03) for the no license ticket. James came up there and i called another freind to come get the car, but she was unable to so she sent 2 of her freinds there instead. they should up, and one of the guys drove my car home for me and parked it. all this happened on Tuesday 12-09-03 at around 7:15pm or so.
well today, wednesday 12-10-03, i walk to court because its only about 3 blocks away from where i live. i had to be there at 9am. got there and sat in court for damn near 3 hours waiting for my case to be called. i get up tehre and they ask me if i want to be in whats called an "Infraction Deferral Program" and that if i took it, it wouldnt be going on my record. i GLADLY took it and went to go see how much it was gonna cost and its gonna be $195 plus i have to have no tickets ina year. i am just glad i didnt go to jail because i dont need to go back. this makes getting my license back a little more costly, but oh well at least this shit aint gonna be on my driving record. lesson learned...time to start hitching rides again. oh and the only reason i was driving was because my ride got fired so i had no other choice...
