swappin a b16 into my 91 dx.... i have a spare d15b dizzy and wondering if itll work for the b16? its an obd1 vtec dizzy so i figured it would..tryin to save a lil cash by using spare parts
Ah, it might work. I think I tried/still have a D-series dizzy on y B16, or atleast the coil pack from a D in it. Try it if you have it, it doesnt cost anything to try and see.

I've got a B dizzy that needs a coil pack, and cap and rotor, and the top ear is broke off, I ran it on my LS and it worked just fine. I just used a bigger washer on it to help hold it, if you want it, name a price and its yours.
d's have a different firing order than b's do. the only way to use one is to use a zydne ecu, their "one-wire" conversion ecu lets you use a stock si distributor (it bolts right up to the b) on a obd0 b16. some of their obd1 ecu's may do the same, but i doubt it, as the one-wire ecu was designed just to make swapping early b16's into ef's easier.

if the firing order is the same as you say (which it could be, i'd only heard that they were different from the zydne ads awhile ago) then physically the distributor from my d16a6 bolts up to my b16a. it's worth a shot seeing if it works out, it's just three bolts and two plugs. let us know how it goes, if it works out, i need to put a few of these on ebay.
