I took home this CR-Z for the weekend. 6 Speed. 18" odyssey accessory wheels painted black with spacers in the front. 07/08 TL front brakes, suspension work, chassis bracing.
The car handles like its on rails and I'm having no issue getting over 40mpg even with the way I am driving it. I'm guessing upper 40's on the freeway. The steering and brake feel is excellent. Body roll is gone - one of the biggest complaints of the stock car. I'm enjoying everything except the acceleration.
God this thing is slow compared to my civic. Pretty sure my 5000lb truck would smoke it in a drag race too. Low rpm power is surprising - the electric motor works well there. If this had another 30hp, it would be a perfect package.
Rear visibility is terrible, but I got used to it quick. I love the seats and the layout of the IP. This car is put together very well and material quality is good considering this thing is pretty cheap. I don't care for the combined navi/audio double DIN unit. Buttons are too damn small.
