There's a company that makes a kit(I forgot their name, but they build hydro conversions for cable cars too) to use a ZC intermediate shaft on non-threaded blocks(D16Y and D15 blocks); I actually have one but probably will not use it. LMK if you're interested.
won't work - to use the DOHC ZC transmission, you must use the ZC intermediate axle shaft and larger equal length Integra type axles - the unequal length D15B axles, where they go into the transmission, are smaller diameter than the ZC axles - you can't use the ZC intermediate shaft as the D15 doesn't have the threaded holes on the back of the block to bolt on the ZC intermediate shaft
are you sure it is a DOHC ZC transmission?
Haha, yeah that's them!
sup guys been a while sigh miss this forum and am trying to do a auto to manual swap and i got parts from a donor car except the tranny and i sourced out one but its from a dohc Zc and i was wondering will it bolt up and work properly and would d15b axles work
i wa swoundering if u still have that zc trans and if u wanted to trade or sell it i currently have two single si trans and am trying to get a zc trans
Swap the axle inners...
That's how a lot of people make hybrid axles to adapt a certain transmission to different hubs. As long as the lengths are good, you can do it. Between axles of the same make/chassis, a lot of times the CV guts will fit into different axle cups.
the passenger side worked out fine but the driver side dosnt fit on the axle and idea what axles i needa use for the long one?
