Yeah, already knew that. Did you know that technically every bolt in your car has a torque spec? And just snug is completely ok for this case... it's not like it's a connecting rod or flywheel or anything.with a machined surface.

Plus, the guy doesn't even know how to remove a oil cap, I seriously doubt he has a torque wrench.

Excuse me!?!? Being an ass? Sorry I held your hand and walked you though the painfully simple task of taking off a valve cover, and also had to TELL you how to remove a oil cap, not to mention that I helped you with your brakes on a different thread (btw, i looked it up $35 a rotor to have turned on car).

Oh, and you already had an in lb torque wrench, why don't you just look it up yourself instead. For the record, I just reringed my engine, and I DO have a torque wrench and I still didn't torque down my vc, I just snugged it up. DOESN'T REALLY MATTER!

Honestly I hope this whole thread is a joke. You best watch what you say if you are looking to get help from experienced members.

im done painting so im going to go put it on, but the gasketlooks good shape, do i glue it in the slot or just shove it in?

shoulda shot a clear on it.. they sell a high temp clear..
 
no i was thinking i like the flat, i think the gloss would make it look cheap and toy issh

gonna suck when you get oil and shit on it though.. with a clear you can just wipe that shit off.. w/o clear, its gonna be a lot harder
