I have a built b18a1 in my crx. It dynoed at 230whp at 8 psi (pushing 14 now) on a 42 trim turbo. I want to get about 430-450whp at 20-25 psi w/ quickest possible spool.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is my setup:
B18a1 low w/ original mileage
8:5:1 JE pistons
Stock crank/ fidanza 7lb flywheel
Eagle rods / arp bolts, arp head studs
450 cc dsms
Block guard
Garrett .42 a/r compressor; .48 exhaust; stage 4 turbine/compressor wheel
3in full thermal
Rev hard manifold, tial 38mm wastgate
Neptuned
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Would 420+hp be possible with my setup? What would be a good turbo to reach this goal? What size injectors would should I get?

if you want better spool, you're going to need higher compression pistons (9.5-10:1) and ball bearing turbo like a gt30

running precision 680cc pushing 411whp @18lbs. 450cc injectors seem to small for the power your looking for.

Sort of an old thread, but I'll ad this for whoever searches.

At 43 psi base fuel pressure, 450cc injectors will be flowing 3.01 lbs/min of fuel at 100% IDC. To get 450 whp, you'll need anywhere from 41-50 lbs/min of airflow, depending on how efficient your setup and tuning is (essentially your BSFC). Assuming you can get 10 whp out of 1 lbs/min airflow, you'll need 45 lbs/min airflow. With only 3.01 lbs/min of fuel to feed that airflow, you would have to run close to a 15:1 AFR to get there.

Assuming you're not insane and want something like an 11:1 AFR at 85% IDC, you would need ~720cc/min of fuel flow. So in terms of standard injector sizes, you would want 750cc/min injectors.

If your goal is 450whp I'd just go with 1200cc injectors, you can always lean them out. Then you always have room to grow. Your going to need a fuel pump, and as far as the turbo goes if you want to spend the money go with the borgwarner bullseye s362, it's the best thing i ever bought for my car...
